A chartered flight by Myanmar National Airlines (MNA) from Singapore landed at the Yangon International Airport yesterday evening, with 28 Myanmar seamen who needed crew-change after their contracts had expired.

Similarly, after cooperation between authorities and the Myanmar Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, a relief flight carrying 164 Myanmar nationals (11 from Saudi Arabia, 67 from UAE, 76 from Egypt, 4 from Pakistan, 1 from Germany, 3 from England, 1 from Israel, and 1 from Russia) landed landed at the Yangon International Airport yesterday evening.

As they arrived in the Yangon International Airport, the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population, the Ministry of Health and Sports and the Yangon Region government helped the returnees for health inspections and arranged for 21-day quarantine.

To bring back Myanmar nationals stranded in foreign nations by relief flights and charter flights in accordance with the instructions from National-Level Central Committee for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs cooperated with the relevant ministries and Myanmar embassies from respective nations, and brought back a total of 13,364 Myanmar nationals to date.
