Union Minister U Nyan Tun of the Ministry of Electric Power joined the XIII International Forum ATOMEXPO 2024 in Sochi, Russia. He engaged in discussions on ‘SMR Opportunities and Challenges’ during the plenary session.

Later, the Myanmar delegation, led by Union Minister U Nyan Tun and Union Minister Dr Myo Thein Kyaw, along with Myanmar Ambassador U Thit Lin Ohn, met Director-General Mr Alexey Likhachev of Rosatom to discuss matters regarding wind, hydropower, and thermal power plants in Myanmar.

The Union ministers also participated in the plenary meeting on “Nuclear Infrastructure: nuclear project drivers”.
