THE news and information team of the Union Election Commission held a press briefing yesterday in line with the COVID-19 guidelines on the candidate registration process for the 2020 General Election which is scheduled on 8 November.

The member of UEC and its information team— U Myint Naing, U Than Htay, U Swe Tint Lwin, the director-general and the deputy director-general of commission office—explained submission of electoral candidates, their withdrawal, scrutinizing and confirmation.

The press briefing was attended by 27 local and foreign media organizations.
