THE malicious media, RFA, is spreading fake news and misinformation on social media pages that prisoners who are serving their sentences in Monywa prison, Sagaing Region, are being tortured by officers in charge of the prison.

Regarding the news, an official from the Correctional Department under the Ministry of Home Affairs said that it is incorrect that the routine administrative work in the prison is being carried out in line with the procedures, that there is no illegal activity, and that it is just writing propaganda.

As per reports, the malicious media are spreading fake news and misinformation in a timely manner to destroy the stability and peace of the villages, regions and states and to mislead the public intentionally.
