A Myanmar delegation led by U Myint Naung, Union Minister for Labour, attended the ASEAN-China Forum held in Nanning, the People’s Republic of China on 3 and 4 November.

The Union Minister met with officials from Dehong Dai and Baoxian in Kunming, the People’s Republic of China, and discussed the issues of Myanmar migrant workers yesterday morning.

During the meeting, they mainly discussed preparations for signing the labour cooperation agreement between Myanmar and China regarding migrant labour issues. They had a friendly and open discussion about the rights of Myanmar workers to legally live and work in China and the benefits of Myanmar migrant workers under China’s foreign worker law.

After that, the Union Minister and party returned to Yangon by air from China in the evening, and officials from the Ministry of Labour welcomed back the delegation led by the Union Minister at Yangon International Airport.
