A relief flight by Myanmar National Airlines bringing back 53 Myanmar nationals stranded in Thailand landed at the Yangon International Airport last night.
As they arrived in the airport, the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population, the Ministry of Health and Sports and the Yangon Region government arranged proper medical checkups and 21- day quarantine for them. To bring back Myanmar nationals stranded in foreign nations by relief flights and chartered flights in accordance with the instructions from National-Level Central Committee on Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs cooperated with the relevant ministries and Myanmar embassies from respective nations, and a total of 7 relief flights from Thailand have landed at Myanmar to date.
