A team of Myanmar Human Rights Commission led by its member U Kyaw Myint and U Kyaw Soe inspected the Myingyan Prison, police station, court and hospital lock-ups yesterday.

They also checked preparations for COVID-19 preventive measures at these places.

The MHRC officials then met with several inmates individually and asked them any violation of human rights, convenience of inmates, their access to basic necessities and situation of fundamental rights for prisoners.

The inspection team will send their findings to relevant departments for further actions accordingly.
