THE government is enhancing the sports sector and deservedly honouring the outstanding athletes, said Member of the State Administration Council Porel Aung Thein at a meeting with staff of Kayah State Sports and Physical Education Department in Loikaw yesterday morning.

Together with Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin, the SAC member inspected the stadium, the gymnasium and stands and a 400-metre track in Loikaw and fulfilled the needs.

He enjoyed the final matches of the Kayah State Chief Minister’s Trophy U-25 men’s and women’s volleyball tournament at the Kayah State Karatedo gymnasium and presented championship trophies, individual medals and cash awards to the first prize-winning Shadaw women’s team and Demawhso men’s team respectively.
