A press release was issued on Saturday that stone plaque chamber pagodas were systematically built through collaborative efforts of many experts.

According to the press release, as professionals from the Directorate of Military Engineers under the Ministry of Defence, experts from the Myanmar Engineering Council and other civilian experts used various items of modern machinery in systematically building 720 stone plaque chamber pagodas, pilgrims and people can view round these magnificent pagodas.

A total of 720 stone plaque chamber pagodas were systematically built in front of Maravijaya Buddha Image in the precinct of Maravijaya Buddha Park in Dekkhinathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory. As such, pilgrims can read the stone inscriptions on Tri Pitakat treatises in the chambers and pay homage to these pagodas in various dimensions during their trip to the wonderful sitting marble Buddha image.

The press release mentioned that each chamber accommodates two stone plaques on which the Tri Pitakat treatises in addition to Athakatha and Tika treatises were carved in Pali and Ramanized languages with the use of modern machinery for public observation.

During their visits to Maravijaya Buddha Image free of charge from 8 to 16 August, the press release urged members of the Sangha and pilgrim people to observe architectural creations and engineering works in addition to the Tri Pitakat treatises in stone inscriptions in the stone plaque chambers after accepting necessary inspections under security measures.
