UNION Minister for Hotels and Tourism U Aung Thaw met a delegation led by President Mr Pavel Ostroverhov of the Siberian Association for International Cooperation at the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

A friendly and open discussion took place regarding the promotion of Myanmar’s cultural and beach destinations to Russian tourists, fostering mutual travel by organizing online meetings between Russian and Myanmar travel companies, establishing direct flights between Novosibirsk and Myanmar, providing support for investments in other business sectors alongside tourism in Myanmar, updates on the “Welcome Russia Programme in Myanmar” initiative, conditions for the Familiarization-FAM Trip, facilitating money usage for Russian tourists, and other matters of enhancing bilateral tourism cooperation between Myanmar and Russia.
