UNION Minister for Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief, and Resettlement Dr Thet Thet Khine received a delegation led by Mr Vinay Kumar, the Indian Ambassador to Myanmar, in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.

During the meeting, the ambassador discussed various topics, including India’s scholarship assistance, and humanitarian aid for the areas affected by Cyclone Mocha, the accepting of internally displaced persons (IDPs), human trafficking issues, and economic development projects being implemented in Rakhine State as per the Myanmar-India MoU.

The discussion also touched on the humanitarian aid provided by India for Cyclone Mocha victims, the visit of the ERAT Team representatives from the AHA centre to the cyclone-affected areas of Rakhine State, relief supplies from the AHA centre, and the rehabilitation of human trafficking victims and individuals who have successfully overcome drug addiction.
