U Htein Lin, Chairman of the Rakhine State Natural Disaster Management Committee and Rakhine State Chief Minister, along with deputy ministers, state ministers, and departmental officials, held a meeting with the Myanmar Policemen who have been actively involved in relief and rehabilitation efforts in Rakhine State following the devastation caused by Cyclone Mocha. During the meeting, the Myanmar Policemen were commended for their efforts and were presented with financial support and essential supplies. Additionally, they met with a medical team consisting of specialists who are overseeing healthcare services at the 500-bed general hospital in Sittway.

To bolster healthcare activities in the cyclone-affected region of Rakhine State, the Ministry of Health has despatched specialists and healthcare workers from state hospitals, including general practitioners, surgical specialists, orthopaedic specialists, and paediatricians. These specialized medical teams have been deployed to provide essential healthcare services to the local population in Rakhine State.

As part of the Ministry of Health's programme, a team of general surgery specialists, general practitioners from Yangon, and specialist doctors, including retired local specialists, are delivering healthcare services at the 500-bed general hospital in Sittway for two days.
