A Myanmar delegation led by Anti-Corruption Commission Chairman Dr Htay Aung joined the 4th Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities (GlobE Network) Plenary Session held at Vienna International Centre on 12 and 13 July online.
The meeting discussed the completed work plans for 2021- 2022, ongoing processes in 2023 and future work programmes of the network that was organized to cooperate among member countries in solving the challenges in implementing the facts stated in the United Nations Convention against Corruption and exchange of information in time in combating corruption.
Moreover, the ACC Chairman and delegates attended the webinar on combating cross-border corruption held by the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities online on 13 July.
The Webinar focused on experiences in combating corruption in post-COVID-19, anti-corruption activities of the Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption, technical assistance, information exchange and international cooperation.
Moreover, the delegation led by ACC Chairman took part in the discussion on the impacts of corruption in implementing the sustainable development goals presided by UNITAR.
The event discussed the transparency, responsibility, accountability and righteous position of governments in curing the increasing corruption in carrying out the urban development programmes in the post-COVID-19 and other matters related to analyzing the threat of corruption and the development of the organizational framework.
