UNION Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than and a delegation met the regional government headed by Mr Byechis Laffarin, Minister of International Economic Relations of the Sverdlovsk Region on 12 July.

During the meeting, both sides cordially discussed issues related to export and import, exploration of iron ore and mining, technological support for steel production, training for steel production workers until they are proficient in technology and production methods, the building up of human resources by sending students from Myanmar to major universities in the Urals region, the strengthening of unity in the spirit of brotherhood between the partner countries, and prospect of appointing and sending commerce attachés in the Sverdlovsk Region.
