THE State Peace Talks TeamSPTT received the delegation led by Vice-Chairman Nai Aung Min of the New Mon State Party-NMSP yesterday morning at the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Centre in Nay Pyi Taw and cordially discussed the stability of the region and peace processes. Afterwards, the SPTT and the NMSP delegation continued the second day of peace talks at the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Centre.

The meeting was attended by Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, SAC Member, Union Minister at the Union Government Office, National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Chair, and Peace Talks Team Leader, SAC Member Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, NSPNC Secretary Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein and members, and NMSP Vice-Chairman Nai Aung Min, members of the Central Executive Committee Nai Banyar Lei and Nai Aung Mangae. In the meeting, they frankly discussed the purpose of holding the Union Peace Conference and regional development issues.

Then, to continue the implementation of the agreements obtained from the previous talks, they also signed and exchanged the agreements.

Next, Peace Talks Team Leader Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and the New Mon State Party –NMSP Vice-Chairman Nai Aung Min gave closing remarks and books on world affairs, Myanmar affairs and ethnic affairs published by the Ministry of Information were presented to the New Mon State Party-NMSP.
