RAKHINE State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, in his capacity as Chairman of Rakhine State Disaster Management Committee, attended a ceremony to accelerate preventive measures against Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever yesterday. He also inspected the proper flow of water in Khawathe creek, distribution of relief and rehabilitation materials and collective measures to fight DHF.

At the ceremony to accelerate preventive and control measures against DHF held at Lawkananda Sasana Beikman, the Chief Minister talked about the public health care system in the aftermath of Mocha in Rakhine State, preventive measures against DHF at schools and wards, medical supplies of township hospitals and dispensaries and community awareness activities.

Then, Dr Kyi Lwin, Head of Rakhine State Public Health and Medical Services Department clarified the DHF related matters, and health workers demonstrated the preventive measures.

The Chief Minister and Deputy Ministers then handed over the kits of Abate pills to the relevant officials and observed the displayed booths.

The Chief Minister and party also inspected proper flow of water in Khawathe creek, and distribution of relief and rehabilitation materials from Mercury Force ship at Sittway port and loading processed of rice seed bags onto Kaladan-2 ship for Rathedaung Township.

They watched the preventive measures against DHF at No 5 BEHS, Tayatheesu ward and Thuseiktayama Dhammayon.

At noon, they attended the coordination meeting on rehabilitation processes held at Rakhine State government office and discussed the rehabilitation processes, completed work and future work plans.
