THE meeting of the Working Committee for International Relations (2/2023) under the National Disaster Management Committee was held at the Ministry of International Cooperation yesterday afternoon.

During the meeting, U Ko Ko Hlaing, the Union Minister for International Cooperation, in the capacity of the Chairman of the Working Committee for International Relations, highlighted exploring the ways of coordination among stakeholders for the effective provision of international assistance to the Cyclone Mocha affected people.

Dr Thet Thet Khine, the Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, in the capacity of the Vice Chair 2 of the National Disaster Management Committee, deliberated the ongoing collaboration among stakeholders as an important role for cyclone response.

U Kyaw Myo Htut, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, in the capacity of the Vice Chair of the Working Committee, briefed the meeting on the updates of international assistance and donation to cyclone affected population. Working Committee members suggested the possible ways for the effective cooperation in the international assistance to the cyclone-affected population.
