THE relief items and supplies are being trans­ported to Rakhine State under the directives of the National Disaster Man­agement Committee.

 

The MV Fortune de­parted from the Myanmar Terminal (TMT) to Sittway yesterday carrying a total of 1,562.58 tonnes of sup­plies including 165,674 CI sheets, 132.77 tonnes of plain sheets, 150 tonnes of Lip Channel, two trans­formers, 150 tonnes of sawn timber, 100 bags of rice, 10,030 packs of wa­ter bottles and 14,002 sap­lings provided by relevant ministries, Myanmar Eco­nomic Corporation, Union of Myanmar Economic Holdings Public Limited and Kokang Self-Admin­istered Zone.

Moreover, a total of 26,900.64 tonnes of sup­plies including construc­tion materials, electrical devices, health devices, commodities and food­stuffs, 249,762 gallons of diesel and 199,886 gallons of Octane 92 were trans­ported by 18 vessels in­cluding naval vessels to Sittway of Rakhine State from 16 May to date.
