THE State Administration Council has issued announcements regarding the areas affected by Cyclone Mocha, invoking Section 11 of the Disaster Management Law. As part of the restoration efforts in these areas, senior military officers were assigned to oversee the rehabilitation work.
Accompanied by officials, Lt-Gen Min Naing arrived in Haka, Chin State, where he witnessed the awarding ceremony held for the students who have passed the 2022- 2023 matriculation examination.
Likewise, Lt-Gen Aye Win and party who arrived in Buthidaung observed the mobile medical team providing healthcare services to residents at a religious hall in Lamma Monastery, Myoma Ward.
They visited and observed that the rice transported by the Kaladan II vessel was being inspected by the inspection team and that the rice was properly stored in the consumer affairs warehouse by the military personnel and relevant officials, residents and cargo teams to ensure that it was not being wasted.
Next, they visited Alinyaung Monastery in Buthidaung and donated foods, relief items CI sheets for monastery restoration and cash to the Sayadaw.
Similarly, Brig-Gen Khin Maung Aye and the team who arrived in Matupi Township, Chin State, handed over relief items plus cash needed for school building restoration to officials.
Likewise, Brig-Gen Aung Thu Oo and officials arrived in Kyauktaw, Rakhine State, and donated necessary foodstuffs to the monks of Myoma Mhan Monastery.
