THE combined teams impounded a Toyota Mightyx car (approximate value of K3 million) without official documents in Myeik township and a Honda Fit vehicle (approximate value of K2.5 million) and a Nissan Vantte car (approximate value of K5 million) without official documents in Bokpyin township on 27 and 28 May. The action was taken under Customs procedures.

A combined team led by the Township Forest Department confiscated 0.468 tonne of illegal teak and 24.227 tonnes of other illegal timbers (worth K4,622,934) in Budalin township on 28 May.  The action was taken under the Forest Law.

An on-duty team at the Kawkareik (Tadakyo) combined checkpoint seized 25 Mawari Multifunction Emergency fans (worth K1.75 million) that were not declared in the Import Declaration (ID) from a vehicle heading from Myawady to Yangon on 28 May. The action was taken under Customs procedures.

An inspection team under the supervision of the Mandalay Region Illegal Trade Eradication Special Task Force on duty at the 21st-Milepost on PyinOoL win-Mandalay road nabbed three kinds of foodstuffs (worth K3.28 million) including 4,800 bags of Spicy Gluten meat stick without official documents from a minibus (approximate value of K30 million) heading to Mandalay from Lashio and three kinds of consumer goods (worth K3.04 million) including 585 umbrellas without official documents from a microbus (approximate value of K30 million) and seven kinds of consumer goods (worth K12.66 million) including 30 commode chairs from a Fuso express bus (estimated value of K20 million) heading to Mandalay from Muse on 29 May. The action was taken under Customs procedures.

A combined team led by the District Forest Department captured a total of 2.49 tonnes of illegal timbers (worth K373,500) in Pathein district and a combined team led by the Bago District Forest Department seized a total of 5.221 tonnes of illegal teak (worth K2,338,068) in Thayawady district on 31 May and action was taken under the Forest Law.

Therefore, 13 arrests (the estimated value of K118,564,502) were made on 27, 28, 29 and 31 May, according to the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee.
