STATE Administration Council Member Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister of Home Affairs Lt-Gen Soe Htut received Sri Lankan Ambassador to Myanmar Mr JM Janaka Priyantha Bandara yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw.

Both sides cordially and frankly discussed and exchanged views on matters pertaining to combatting money laundering and financial support of terrorism, BIMSETC cybersecurity issues as Myanmar and Sri Lanka are member countries, exchange of information for the prevention and suppression of transborder criminal cases and further cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting was also attended by MPF Deputy Chief Police Maj-Gen Aung Aung, Criminal and Legal Department Chief Police Brig-Gen Kyaw Lin and Transnational Crime Department Chief Police Brig-Gen Aung Htay Myint.
