Two well-wisher organizations donated K 40 million to the National-Level Central Committee on Prevention, Control and Treatment of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) at the Ministry of Health and Sports in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
Union Minister for Health and Sports Dr Myint Htwe, in his capacity as Secretary (2) of the committee, received K 35 million donated by Myanmar traditional cheroot producers association, and K 5 million provided by the Mann Aung Nyein Foundation.
The donors said they donated cash after they had listened to the State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s televised speech on latest situation of Covid19.
The Union Minister also expressed thanks to the donors for their contribution.
