Monywa, Fujita Corporation discuss power generation from waste materials
OFFICIALS from Monywa and Japan’s Fujita Corporation and Mitsubishi Research Institute organized their third meeting via videoconferencing on electricity generation from waste materials on 7 January.
“Three-year plan was made with Fujita Corporation on power generation from waste materials under carbon reduction project”, said U Tun Tun from Monwya City Development Committee.
“Implementation of the project is in second years, and was suspended because of the coronavirus outbreak. Plastics will be sorted from the waste during the suspension period to generate electricity,” he added.
U Thit Htoo Myint from Sagaing Region Development Committee also joined the meeting together with U Tun Tun.
Officials from Myanmar-based TESCO Co., Ltd also participated in the meeting.
The meeting discussed sorting wastes and generating energy from the wastes.
