MON literature textbooks giving and vocational training course opening ceremonies honoured the 49th Anniversary of Mon State Day at the Mon State Ethnic Affairs Department in Mawlamyine on 18 March, attended by State Administration Council member Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence General Mya Tun Oo, SAC member U Yan Kyaw and union ministers.

Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung extended greetings and Mon State Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Khin Maung Oo reported on purposes of Mon literature textbook giving and vocational training course.

Officials gave the Mon Language textbooks to Mon Literature and Cultural Committee members.

Next, officials presented cash assistance and ethnic rights protection bylaw books to officials of Mon Literature and Cultural Committee. The attendees enjoyed Hintha dance performed by Mon Cultural dance troupe and had documentary photo taken.
