RAKHINE State Stability, Peace and Development Work Coordi­nation Committee Chair Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt- Gen Tun Tun Naung and Union ministers along with the Rakhine State chief minister and officials inspected the Bawdupha IDP camp in Sittway township on 8 February and coordinated with responsible personnel to fulfil the needs of the displaced per­sons at the camp.

The Union ministers and party inspected the construc­tion of houses, arrangements for water, electricity and sewage system, construction of the clin­ic, the earthen road and the box culvert, construction of the vil­lage community hall and schools at the place where Kyauktalon IDPs are to be relocated in Kyaukpyu and urged responsible personnel to finish all the work at the end of March.

They also inspected the pro­gress of the Kyaukpyu combined cycle power plant project.

At the Technical Training School for National Youths in Border Areas in Kyaukpyu town­ship, the Union ministers and the state chief minister viewed the conducting of electrical, con­struction, mechanic and mobile phone repair training courses.

Afterwards, they attended the meeting on socioeconomic development in Manaung town­ship and met departmental offi­cials, entrepreneurs and town elders.

Finally, the Union minis­ters viewed the local products displayed by MSME businesses and they had a discussion on the fulfilment of requirements for socioeconomic development in the region.
