STATE Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Sen­ior General Min Aung Hlaing addressed the Union govern­ment meeting 2/2023 held at the SAC Chairman Office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

Also present at the meet­ing were SAC Vice-Chair­man Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win and the Union ministers.

At the meeting, the Union ministers reported on their respective sectors.

In his concluding remarks, the Senior General highlight­ed that it should complete the work plans for the 2022-2023 FY in time. Regarding govern­ment-run businesses, certain businesses do not have a bal­ance of income and expendi­ture. Therefore, it should op­erate to balance income and expenses. Some state-owned businesses were suspended due to the wrong management in former government terms. Although some businesses did not run properly, the expenses were high for salary payments and maintenance costs.

The suspended factories are losses to the country and efforts should be made to re­sume them. In such doing, it should manage the best work correctly at least amount of cost without any unnecessary expenses. It can take action against those who do not work properly in a correct way. The leaders should know their du­ties and responsibilities and set the correct directives. They also should serve their duties knowing in principle.

He also underscored that the transportation, education and health sectors will be pri­oritized in coming years, and the development of the elec­tricity sector is a must. The ministries concerned should try hard for their respective sectors and cooperate in meas­ures to join the vocational training after completing the KG+9 scheme.

He added that it needs to celebrate the religious and po­litical ceremonies full of the essence as per the tradition and custom. The culture and religion of the country must be conserved not to disappear due to external destructive el­ements. The ministries should work together to ensure the state stability, rule of law and economic growth of the coun­try.
