MEMBER of the State Administration Council Mahn Nyein Maung inspected the local research centre in Myaungmya Township, Ayeyawady Region yesterday morning.

First, Daw Phyu Pya Lwin, in charge of the research department, explained to the council member the local rice research being conducted and measures being taken for improving the quality of Pawsan Hmwe rice and maintaining the soil, selecting varieties suitable for the region and introduction of technology.

Afterwards, the council member and officials visited the research paddy field and inspected the seed production trials, production of natural fertilizers and display of suitable varieties of rice.
