THE military parade marked the Diamond Jubilee Tatmadaw (Air) Day at the flying training base in Meiktila yesterday morning, attended by Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung, retired commanders-in-chief (Air), airbase commanders, Tatmadaw members and guests.

The General delivered an address at the parade and took the salute of parade companies.

A ceremony to listen to Paritta recitation was held in conjunction with the dawn meal offering ceremony to mark Diamond Jubilee Tatmadaw (Air) Day at the aircraft production and maintenance base in Meiktila Station.

Vice-Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Presiding Patron of Sasana Wepulla Pali Tekkatho Pariyatti Monastery of Yanmyoaung ward of Meiktila Agga Maha Pandita Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotikadhaja Agga Maha Ganthavacaka Pandita Bhaddanta Kovida administered the Five Precepts and members of the Sangha recited Paritta.

Alms were donated to members of the Sangha, and the Sasana Wepulla Pali Tekkatho Sayadaw delivered a sermon, followed by sharing of merits. Later, members of the Sangha were offered dawn meals.
