WITH an ulterior motive for weakening the administrative mechanism of the government, PDF groups organized by CRPH and NUG terrorist groups are committing serious crimes of killing ward and village administrators, 100-household leaders and 10-household leaders and civil servants. They are also threatening or slaying teachers, planting and detonating bombs at schools so that students do not dare to go to school. Moreover, to strike terror into the public, they are murdering innocent and peace-loving people as well as Buddhist monks.

Buddhism is a religion most of the people in Myanmar profess and it is also a religion that commands high respect of people all over the world. In Myanmar, the overwhelmingly Buddhist nation, slaughtering Buddhist monks, who are following noble practices and living a moral life, makes the image of the country and the people very ugly. This being the case, people are urged to take an active part in exposing suspects so that effective action can be taken against them and those who give information leading to their arrest will be rewarded deservingly.
