DEPUTY Minister for Construction U Win Pe inspected the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway (Nay Pyi Taw-Yangon section) on Friday.

Then, he went to the Pyidaungsu Hall where the National Convention was convened to draw the Constitution (2008) near Nyaunghnapin Village of Hlegu Township in the Yangon Region and officials reported on maintenance works.

He instructed the need to make plans to ensure the sustainability of the historic building in its original design and cooperate for proper security system including fire safety.

He then viewed round the Pyidaungsu Hall and Anawrahta Yeiktha and gave instructions to officials regarding the repairs on entry and exit ways to the Pyidaungsu Hall.
