According to the report, a joint team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force searched the house of Kya U, 37, who lived in Pan Kalar (Hwayphyan) village, Yanlaw village-tract, Kengtung Township, eastern Shan State on 10 September, reportedly resulting in the seizure of 170,000 ecstasy tablets worth K170 million.

He is being prosecuted under the law and investigations are underway to identify and arrest the related suspects, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
