KACHIN State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan and Kachin State Minister for Natural Resources U Ting Saung visited Lekon Ziun IDP camp in Lekon Ward in Myitkyina to provide assistance on 4 September.

During the meeting with the camp officials and the families of the displaced people, the Chief Minister said he came to provide the assistance required to raise their own livestock and to live comfortably, as well as to prevent the spread of COVID-19. He added it is necessary to pay special attention to prevention of the infection of COVID-19 and he will do whatever he can to help.

The Chief Minister and party provided 20 bags of rice, packages of instant noodles, 200 eggs, 50 PPE suits, 500 gloves, 500 masks, five cartons of personal soaps, six piglets, and veterinary supplies for the families in the camp. The head of Kachin State Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department explained the use and benefits of the aids.

Afterward, the Chief Minister met the congregational officials at the Bethel Baptist Church, provided them with COVID-19 prevention equipment, and coordinated aids of the government for COVID-19 prevention and control activities.
