THE COVID-19 vaccination has been administered to civil service personnel, prison inmates and people over the age of 65, including monks and nuns, in regions and states. As of yesterday from 30 July, a total of 219 senior citizens in northern Shan State; 3,266 people including monks in southern Shan State; 1,757 people in eastern Shan State; 8,200 people in Mon State and Kayin State; 1,396 people in Taninthayi Region; 500 people in Yangon Region; 6,637 people in Ayeyawady Region; 7,371 people in Mandalay Region; 8,650 people in Bago Region were vaccinated. The vaccination was undertaken by the Tatmadaw medical teams, in collaboration with doctors and medical workers from the public hospitals and volunteers, and officials encouraged and coordinated with them where necessary.
