THE COVID-19 vaccination was provided to civil service personnel, prison inmates and people over the age of 65, including monks and nuns in Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, Yangon and Mandalay regions, yesterday.

 A total of 276 civil service personnel from Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory as their second dose; 1,161 people over the age of 65 in Chanayethazan, Maha Aungmye, Chanmyathazi, Pyigyitagon, Amarapura and Patheingyi townships in Mandalay Region; 360 inmates in the Nay Pyi Taw Prison and 610 inmates in the Insein Central Prison were vaccinated.

The vaccination was undertaken by Tatmadaw medical teams, in collaboration with doctors and medical workers from the public hospitals and volunteers and officials encouraged and coordinated with them where necessary.
