THE Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) set up a commission of inquiry to investigate allegations that Thura U Aung Ko had received cash and kind relating to the annual conferring ceremony of titles for outstanding individuals by the State during his tenure as Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture.
According to the investigation team, Thura U Aung Ko had received K25 million worth of a golden plate (about 20 ticals) without any payment during his tenure as the Union Minister for Religion Affairs and Culture. He will be charged under Section 55 of the Anti-Corruption Law.
The Anti-Corruption Commission has informed that the first complaint was lodged at the relevant police station in Nay Pyi Taw.
