A total of 171 Myanmar citizens, including 49 former detainees in Malaysia,  arrived  in  Yangon  by  a  relief  flight  of  Myanmar  Air-ways International, organized by the Myanmar Embassy in Kuala Lumpur yesterday evening.

Moreover,  130  Myanmar  seamen  whose  contracts  have  expired with the respective ship-ping  lines  were  brought  back  home  by  another  relief  flight  of  MAI, organized by the Myanmar Embassy in Seoul and the Crew Change  Supporting  Committee  (Myanmar) in the same evening.

The group of Myanmar sea-men included 96 from the Repub-lic  of  Korea,  16  from  Singapore,  3 from the UAE, 10 from Qatar, 4 from Egypt and 1 from Indonesia.

The Ministry of Labour, Im-migration  and  Population,  the  Ministry  of  Health  and  Sports  and the Yangon Region govern-ment arranged 7-day quarantine at  specific  places  or  designated  hotels,  followed  by  the  7-day  home quarantine. To bring back the  Myanmar  seamen  and  citi-zens  in  accordance  with  the  in-structions  from  National-Level  Central  Committee  on  Corona-virus  Disease  2019  (COVID-19),  the  Ministry  of  Foreign  Affairs  is working together with the rel-evant ministries, Myanmar em-bassies from respective countries and shipping companies.
