A ceremony to drive stake for construction of Ottara District Court was organized at the plot where the court will be built at the corner of Chindwin and Court streets in Pobbathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Council Area yesterday.

Chief Justice of the Union U Htun Htun Oo attended the stake-driving ceremony that took place in line with COVID-19 health guidelines set by the Ministry of Health and Sports.

At the event, the Union Chief Justice drove stake at the designated place of the court construction site after Justices of the Union U Tha Htay, U Myint Aung, U Aung Zaw Thein, U Mya Han, U Myo Tint, U Soe Naing, U Khin Maung Kyi and U Myo Win have sprayed it with scented water.

The Union Chief Justice and officials looked around the place where the District Court will be constructed.

The construction of the court was carried out in line with third-year plan of Judicial Strategic Plan 2018-2022. The two-storey reinforced concrete building constructed by Zwe Man Hone Company is 200 feet in length and 140 feet in width. — MNA (Translated by Kyaw Zin Tun)
