Graduation ceremonies for Training 20 of the People’s Military Service training were held yesterday morning at regional military headquarters and training schools across the country.

Trainees took an oath of allegiance while holding the national flag, followed by award presentations for outstanding performance, including Best Soldier, Drill Excellence, Marksmanship and Combat Skills.

After the ceremonies, regional and state chief ministers, regional military commanders and senior officials met with the Batch 20 graduates at the training schools, delivering remarks and personally congratulating and encouraging the new servicemen.

The People’s Military Service Law came into effect on 10 February, 2024, with training programmes conducted to prepare citizens for national defence and security duties.
