The Russian delegation led by Ms Anna Sergeevna Vinnikova, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Novosibirsk of the Russian Federation, visited the Bagan ancient cultural site yesterday.

During the visit, the Deputy Minister and her team, along with ministers and officials from the Mandalay Region Government and officials from the Department of Archaeology and National Museum.

They arrived at the Archaeological Museum in the old city of Bagan, where the Director of the Department of Archaeology and National Museum (Bagan Branch) explained the museum, and the Russian delegation asked questions.

Then, they visited the Ananda Temple in Old Bagan, the Myazedi Pagoda in Myinkaba Village, the Shwezigon Pagoda, the Rajakumar stone inscription, the mural paintings in the Myinkaba Gu Pyauk Gyi Pagoda, and the Nan Myint Tower.

Afterwards, they visited the U Ba Nyein Lacquerware Industry and Lacquer Shop in the New Bagan area to see the Myanmar traditional lacquerware and took documentary photos of the Bagan sunset view at Htilominlo Pagoda.
