ARTISTES are making donations for the 105th Myanmar Motion Pictures Day and the 48th Film Industry Elders’ Honouring Ceremony, which will take place on 13 October. On 9 October, the Myanmar Music Association donated K1 million, according to Vice-Chair U Aye Kyu Lay of the Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization (MMPO).

The ceremony will be held at the Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization (Head Office) on Wingaba Road, Bo Cho Ward, Bahan Township, Yangon Region, as film industry members and volunteers continue to make donations.

“The annual Film Industry Elders’ Honouring Ceremony is held on Myanmar Motion Pictures Day, as usual. This year it will take place on 13 October, and several stars have already donated. The Myanmar Music Association donates K1 million annually,” said U Aye Kyu Lay.

At the 105th Myanmar Motion Pictures Day and the 48th Film Industry Elders’ Honouring Ceremony, held on 13 October 2024, 140 veteran film artistes were honoured with cash and food items.
