The opening ceremony of Training Course 1/2025 on the procedures to be followed in conducting border trade was held at 9:30 am yesterday at the Conference Hall of the Export-Import Office under the Department of Trade in Yangon.

Deputy Minister for Commerce U Min Min explained that the purpose of launching this course is to facilitate smooth trade operations along the Ranong-Kawthoung-Yangon trade route between Myanmar and Thailand, to ensure accurate and speedy movement of goods, to reduce and eliminate illegal trade, and to help traders overcome difficulties in their business. He added that the training will be beneficial, as it will provide systematic instruction on implementing trade activities in accordance with laws and procedures. The subjects will be taught not only by experts from the Ministry of Commerce but also by specialists from other ministries related to trade, as well as external professionals. They will emphasize laws, procedures, rules, and regulations relevant to the field.

Present at the opening ceremony were officials from the Ministry of Commerce, guests from (UMFCCI), trainers, and trainees. The course on border trade procedures will run for five days, with a total of 56 trainees in attendance.
