The high-level Myanmar delegation led by Acting President and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who was in the Republic of Kazakhstan during his working visit at the invitation of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, left the Astana Airport of Kazakhstan for the Republic of the Union of Myanmar by the special aircraft yesterday morning.

The aircraft landed at the Kunming Airport in Kunming, People’s Republic of China. For a while, they were warmly welcomed by Mr Hu Dapeng, Member of the Standing Committee of the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the Yunnan Provincial Committee, and Special Envoy for Southeast Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Mr Deng Xiju and officials.

The Acting President and SSPC Chairman of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the Member of the Standing Committee of the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, and Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the Yunnan Provincial Committee held a meeting at the airport lounge. They openly exchanged views on enhancing the firm kinship relations of neighbouring countries between China and Myanmar and trustful friendly countries, provision of aid from China to Myanmar whenever the latter experienced natural disasters including earthquakes, and further plans to provide aid to Myanmar, thorough cooperation between the two countries in forging peace and stability in China-Myanmar border region, cooperation in combating cross-border crimes, speedy and successful implementation for projects and agreements in the China-Myanmar economic corridor, promotion of relations and trade between Myanmar, Yunnan Province of China, and further promotion of cooperation in benefiting the two countries and peoples.

The Acting President and SSPC Chairman of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and party left for the Republic of the Union of Myanmar by the special aircraft. They were seen off at the airport by the Member of the Standing Committee of the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the Yunnan Provincial Committee and the party.
