Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw, who is currently in Moscow, met yesterday morning with the pro-rector, professors, and officials of the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (MEPhI) to discuss opportunities for scientific and technological cooperation between Myanmar and the Russian Federation.

Later, the Union minister visited the Myanmar Embassy in Russia, where he met Myanmar students from the Ministry of Science and Technology who are studying there. He delivered a speech of encouragement and provided necessary support.

On the afternoon of 26 September, the Union minister attended the World Atomic Week Forum 2025 and met Myanmar student teams competing in the Hackathon event, which included participants from ten countries. He offered words of encouragement during the competition. In the evening, he attended a dinner reception hosted by ROSATOM Director-General Alexey Likhachev.
