Sets of powered air-purifying respirators were donated for the Ministry of Health and Sports, Yangon General Hospital and 500-bedded Yangon Specialist Hospital of yesterday.
Mr Philip Maung, founder of Hissho Sushi in Seattle of the United States, presented 50 sets of respirators worth K35 million at the Medical Research Department on Zewaka Road in Dagon Township, Yangon.
At the donation ceremony, Director-General Prof. Dr Zaw Than Tun made remarks, and CEO of Sea Lion Group Dr Win Zaw Aung explained the purpose of the donation.
On behalf of the donor, CEO of Sea Lion Group Dr Win Zaw Aung handed over the powered air-purifying respirators to Professor Dr Maw Maw Oo from the Emergency Department in Yangon General Hospital and Professor Dr Htet Myat from Department of Thoracic (Chest) Surgery in 500-bedded Yangon Specialist Hospital, and accepted the certificate of honour presented by Director-General of Medical Research Department Dr Zaw Than Tun.
