The delegation from six ministries led by Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn will attend the Global South Media and Think Tank Forum to be held in Kunming of China.

The Union minister met with the delegates at the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

The Union minister said the trip is a China-Myanmar friendship trip and the representatives who will join the trip should carry out their respective responsibilities properly to promote the existing China-Myanmar friendship and Swemyo Pauk-Phaw relation. The representatives from six ministries, private media outlets and organizations will join the trip, and the media cooperation, in addition to natural landscape, culture, cultural dance, puppet dance and handicrafts of Myanmar, will be shown off at the event. Therefore, all should cooperate to make a successful trip, as it can promote the image of the country.

The dance troupes of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture and MRTV performed in full dress and puppet show as they will entertain at the opening ceremony of the Global South Media and Think Tank Forum and the opening ceremony of the Global South Market Fair.

The participants reported on the topics to be discussed at the forum and other entertainment programmes.

The Union minister inspected the Myanmar handicrafts to be displayed at the market fair by the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism.

A total of 53 delegates: 36 from ministries and 17 from private media and organizations will attend the Global South Media and Think Tank Forum to be held in Kunming from 4 to 8 September.
