THE Myanmar Red Cross Society, in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), opened a communication training course for field personnel from Yangon Region on 22 July at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Kyauktada Township, Yangon Region.

The course was jointly organized by the Myanmar Red Cross Society, the Yangon Region Red Cross Supervisory Committee, and the International Committee of the Red Cross. At the opening ceremony, President Dr Myo Nyunt of the Myanmar Red Cross Society and ICRC Communication Coordinator Mr Francisco Javier Pavon Molina delivered opening remarks.

The course took two days from 22 to 23 July, and was attended by 20 Red Cross staff members.

Alongside the ICRC communication coordinator, officials from the ICRC, the MRCS president, MRCS executive members, assistant general secretaries, directors, deputy directors, other responsible officials, and Red Cross staff participated in the training.
