The Embassy of Myanmar in Seoul managed to send 115 Myanmar nationals back home by a relief flight of Myanmar Airways International (MAI) from Incheon Airport, and it landed at Yangon International Airport yesterday.

Among these returnees, 6 Myanmar nationals were from Brazil while 3 each from Canada, Italy and Norway, 1 each from Germany and Russia, 5 from Indonesia, 2 from Israel, 78 from ROK, 4 from UK and 9 from US.

As they arrived in Yangon, the officials from the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population, the Ministry of Health and Sports, and the Yangon Region government helped for immigration process, medical tests, and arrangement for their 7-day quarantine at the specific areas or the designated hotels, and 7-day quarantine at home.

For the repatriation of Myanmar seamen who were stranded in foreign countries by relief flights and chartered flights in accordance with the instructions from National-Level Central Committee on Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs cooperated with the relevant ministries and Myanmar embassies from respective countries, and has organized 27 relief flights from the ROK.
