The Work Committee on Drafting the National Land Law organized its second meeting yesterday morning via videoconferencing.
During the meeting, the Work Committee on Drafting the National Land Law Chairperson Deputy Attorney-General U Win Myint said that the committee’s meeting was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The main duty of the committee is to draft National Land Law in accordance with the National Land Use Policy.
The committee chairperson said that the committee members need to observe the existing laws related to land management and to identify sections that need to be amended. He also urged relevant ministries, civil society organizations, experts, Directors General and Deputy Directors General of the relevant ministries to work cooperatively in order to implement the plans.
The participants discussed various issues and the committee chairperson made necessary suggestions.
