Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by Government of Russia’s Buryatia Republic Chair Mr Alexey Sambuevich Tsydenov, at the Credentials Hall of the Office of the SAC Chairman in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.

In his greetings, the Senior General said the Buryatia Republic is cementing significant relations with Myanmar. So, he welcomed the Head of the Buryatia Republic on his goodwill visit to Myanmar.

The Chair of the Government of Buryatia Republic said he took pride in having a chance to make a goodwill visit to beautiful Myanmar. He expressed his satisfaction with the peace, stability, and pleasant atmosphere in Myanmar during the visit. The delegation warmly appreciated Myanmar’s friendly welcome and hospitality.

Both sides frankly exchanged views on the promotion of friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries, exchange of goodwill visits, primary cultivation of paddy, oil crops and beans in Myanmar, construction of factories to produce natural fertilizers for agricultural purposes, the situation to cooperate in increasing cultivation of sunflower, conditions to use forest products of Myanmar to make plywood and pulps, the potential to collaborate in rubber cultivation and production, increased production of cotton and producing raw materials to finished goods and cooperation in enhancement of technologies in the industrial production.

They also discussed the promotion of technological cooperation in mineral production and transport services, cooperation in tourism development, extension of direct flights, sending of scholarship students to improve human resources, enhancement of cooperation in the education sector, prospects to promote further collaboration in the health sector, religious and cultural exchange, and political progress in Myanmar.

The delegation led by the Chair of the Buryatia Republic Government arrived in Myanmar on 12 November. During the visit, they toured landmarks in Yangon, including the Shwedagon Pagoda and Chaungtha Beach, as well as other significant venues in Ayeyawady Region. They have more plans to visit prominent areas in Myanmar.

Also present at the meeting were Council Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, Union Ministers U Tin Oo Lwin, Dr Charlie Than, U Tun Ohn, Dr Nyunt Pe and Dr Thet Khiang Win, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo and officials. The Chairman of the Buryatia Republic Government was accompanied by Mr Iskander Azizov, Russian Ambassador to Myanmar, Deputy Head of Buryatia Republic Health Minister Mrs Ludupova Evgeniia Iurevne and delegation members.
