Subversive media outlets have been fabricating reports, claiming that Tatmadaw security forces invaded Taungyakan Village in Palaw Township, Taninthayi Region, on 4 October. These reports allege that the forces stole gold, money, and motorbikes and arrested women, children, and other villagers.

In response, a regional security officer clarified that security forces did not bully, torture, or attack civilians or non-military targets in the area. He stated that the accusations stem from terrorists and malicious media groups that resent Tatmadaw for its collaboration with people in combatting terrorism, leading to baseless claims against them.

The officer emphasized that malicious media spread false information, blaming Tatmadaw for actions carried out by PDF terrorists as part of their propaganda efforts.
